The scientific journal Applied Electromagnetics, based on the letter No. 3/225226 from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology on 17/02/2013 and also the publication license to the registration number 20/20498 dated 27/10/2013 by the Deputy for Press Affairs and The information of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance was published in the fall of 2013 by the Faculty and Research Institute of Electronic Warfare and Cyber ​​Defense of Imam Hossein University.

In order to provide a scientific environment and promote research culture in the country, as well as to deepen the promotion of knowledge and research findings, the development of knowledge produced in the national and international radius is defined.
